Income Report - $50,000 + Change Promoting Wealthy Affiliate
I decided to write this post in order to manage the expectations of those that are new to WA and affiliate marketing in general. I don't know what affiliate program you promote as your primary source of income, but if WA is the one, then you will want to see this.
I started promoting WA about 3 years ago. I took the slow route of free organic traffic and posting reviews on my Affiliate Bootcamp website. My expectations were that in 3 years' time, I will be making around $100,000 a year just from the Wealthy Affiliate program.
Well, expectations are still the same, but three years later, I still haven't achieved my goal. However, I have managed to rake in more than $50,000 so far just from this one affiliate program! That's about $100,000 in sales!
Here are some of the latest payouts...
I did the math to see where I'm at and how close am I to my goals. I'm pleased to see that all my efforts are paying off despite the fact that things are not moving as fast as I would want them to move. $50K is not a bad number at all.
That said, $49 a month starting 4 years ago was a wise investment...
With everything going around in the world right now, I know that some of you think that $49 a month is a lot of money that could find a better use somewhere else. You have bills to pay, children to support, and who knows what else...
But stick with me for a moment.
If you invest lets say 12 months into WA Premium membership, that would come down to $588. That's money out of your pocket. I understand. By the way, you could save $93 in 12 months if you take the Yearly option ($495).
Now, let's say that during those 12 months you invest time and effort into finishing the training, building a niche website, crafting about 100-200 posts, and promoting just one affiliate program. At the end of the year, you could be earning about $500 to $1000 a month!
If you are skilful and pick the right niche and products, your income could be even bigger! I know for a fact that some people here have managed to go over 5-figures in their first 12 months using WA's 4-step formula!
But realistically, a newbie with no skills or previous experience can expect something like $500 to $1000 a month after the first year in business. This means that your investment, those $588 would pay off just from one month's affiliate income.
The rest is PURE PROFIT!
So when you think about it, it's worth the risk. It's a worthy investment. How do I know? Well, I have done my math by now. I have invested about $2000 so far in my WA membership and have seen $50,000 in return. That's about $48K of pure affiliate income.
And in the next few years, the number will only increase...
So what is your excuse? Why are you not taking this opportunity seriously?
I know for a fact that you can make it happen! All you have to do is one, be ready to invest some money into this training. And two, take it seriously and devote 12 months to building your own profitable affiliate marketing website.
You're risking only $588, but you could gain so much more...

Great advice.
It's always worth looking at things in yearly terms.
I know life is really tough for some people and for them it is necessary to go down the free wealthy affiliate route with a cheap or free website. If they are really interested in this area of work, then that training could open up other job possibilities, and who knows what else.
However, others will be buying a coffee a day -in the UK - £3.45 for a latte - let's say for 300 days in a year = £1035
For those who can do that, is Wealthy Affiliate worth it?
Personally, I would say yes.

Ivan, I know you’ve had to work very hard at this, just like all the other successful members.
If you don’t mind can you share on average how many articles have you posted consistently each month? No matter what that number, it was worth every minute of your time.
This is critical information that should give others an idea of the commitment they must make. I know that the MMO niche is one of the most competitive. Hence, others could achieve different and perhaps better results with a less competitive niche. But in the long run, I feel the MMO niche pays off big dividends.

The number of posts doesn't matter. The thing that matter is the keyword research and the quality of your posts.
I have 100s of posts where I was targeting extremely low traffic volume keywords. I got first place in Google but no traffic.
Target high-volume and low to medium competition keywords. Write long-form and high-quality articles. You'll get tons of traffic.
Ah, as I read through the comments, I thought you hadn't touched on the need to write GOOD blog posts... glad to see it here.
